Turkey's Revenue Administration has announced the publication of Decree No. 1994 on 2 January 2019 which reduces the VAT rate on Wholesale Food Items and Furniture Products. This includes
- a reduction in the rate from 8% to 1% for wholesale supplies of chicken eggs, fish, and fresh fruits and vegetables; and
- a reduction in the rate from 18% to 8% for supplies of certain furniture products.
The Decree is effective from the date published.
