On 12 February 2024, the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Finance announced via X (formerly Twitter) the signing of an amending protocol to the 2019 income tax treaty with Egypt. The protocol is the first to amend the treaty and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged. Details of the protocol will be published once available.
