According to a release from the Emirates News Agency, the United Arab Emirates Cabinet approved the pending income tax treaties with Chile, Egypt, and Zambia on 27 September 2020.
The income tax treaty with Chile was signed on 31 December 2019. The treaty is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
