The Cabinet of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has issued a decision on rules regarding the tax residence of legal entities and individuals that will take effect from 1 March 2023. This includes that legal entities are considered tax residents in the UAE if one or both of the following conditions are met:
- The legal entity is established, formed, or recognized in the UAE, excluding branches registered by foreign companies; and/or
- The legal entity is considered a tax resident under UAE tax laws…
