The UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has issued a press release on an exceptional extension of the excise tax period in light of the 24-hour movement restrictions imposed in some areas in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. With the extension, returns and payment are due by 17 May 2020 for both the March and April periods.
