UAE Provides Penalty Relief for Businesses that Register for VAT by 30 April 2018

The UAE Federal Tax Authority has issued a release announcing that businesses that have not yet registered for value added tax (VAT) under the country's new regime will be exempted from late registration penalties, provided that registration is completed by 30 April 2018. Any VAT due as from 1 January 2018, however, must still be paid.
