UK HMRC has issued a release announcing that Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax Self Assessment (ITSA) will be phased in from April 2026 for self-employed businesses and landlords with an income of more than GBP 50,000. For those earning between GBP 30,000 and GBP 50,000 MTD will be phased in from April 2027.
