UK Requests Extension for Brexit

UK Prime Minister Theresa May has sent a letter to European Council President Donald Tusk requesting a delay in the UK's exit from the EU to 30 June 2019. May had planned to request the extension following a third attempt to pass the Brexit deal this week, but the deal was not presented. President Tusk has reportedly responded to the request, saying that a short extension could be possible, but that this would depend on the Brexit deal being approved in the UK House of Commons next week.
