UK and EU Reach Possible Brexit Agreement

On 17 October 2019, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson came to a new agreement with EU leaders on Brexit, which if approved in the UK parliament by 19 October, would see the UK leave the EU on 31 October 2019 with a deal. However, if the new agreement is not approved, the Prime Minister is required, by law ({News-2019-09-13/A/7-previous coverage}), to seek a further extension. It is not certain that EU leaders would agree, but it is reportedly likely an extension would be granted.
