The Foreign Relations Committee of the US Senate has recommended approval of the protocol to the income tax treaty between Sweden-United States, which was signed on 30 September 2005.
The approval came by means of a voice vote of the Committee on 14 March 2006 that recommended the full US Senate ratify the protocol as negotiated. The approval follows the hearings held by the Committee on the protocol on 2 February 2006;
