U.S. IRS Publishes Competent Authority Arrangement with Thailand for FATCA

On 27 June 2024, the U.S. IRS published the competent authority arrangement signed with Thailand to establish and prescribe the rules and procedures necessary to implement certain provisions of the FATCA Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the two countries. The IGA was signed on 4 March 2016, although Thailand is deemed to have an IGA in effect from 30 June 2014.
