The U.S. IRS has issued a request for comments on Form 8975, Country-by-Country Report, and Schedule A (Form 8975), which was published in the Federal Register on 5 January 2023. Such requests are periodically issued as part of procedures to reduce the burden of collections in general as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The request for comments for Form 8975 is in regard to an extension of the approval by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for the collection.
