U.S. Representative Introduces Fair Tax Act to Repeal All Income Taxes, Abolish the IRS, and Introduce a National Sales Tax

U.S. Representative Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-GA) has announced the introduction of the Fair Tax Act (Bill H.R. 25) to promote freedom, fairness, and economic opportunity by repealing the income tax and other taxes, abolishing the Internal Revenue Service, and enacting a national sales tax to be administered primarily by the States. Similar legislation was first introduced in 1999.
