On 22 May 2022, the Ukraine parliament approved the bill for the termination of the 1995 income and capital tax treaty with Russia, which has been sent to the president to be signed into law. As per the terms of the treaty, the termination would apply from 1 January 2023, at the earliest, if the notice of termination is given by the end of June 2022.
