On 10 July 2020, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a new decree authorizing the negotiation and signing of a social security agreement with Turkey. An authorization decree was previously signed in January 2020 but has been declared invalid and is replaced by the latest decree. The agreement will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
