On 15 November 2019, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law for the ratification of the pending protocol to the 2012 income tax treaty with Cyprus. The protocol, signed 11 December 2015 ({News-2016-03-02/T/3-previous coverage}), is the first to amend the treaty and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
