According to a recent release, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed the law for the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Malta on 1 May 2017 ({News-2017-04-11/T/4- previous coverage}). The treaty, signed 4 September 2013, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
