On 4 June 2014, the approved Law 44 for 2014 was published in Egypt's Official Gazette. The law includes a three-year increase in the rate of tax from 25% to 30% on income exceeding EGP 1 million for both individual and corporate taxpayers. The increase applies from year of assessment 2014.
