On 3 June 2014, the Kuwaiti Cabinet approved the law ratifying the income and capital tax treaty with Kenya. The treaty, signed 12 November 2013, is the first treaty of its kind between the two countries.
Taxes Covered
The treaty covers Kenyan income tax, and the following Kuwaiti taxes:

- The contribution from the net profits of the Kuwaiti shareholding companies payable to the Kuwait Foundation for Advancement of Science (KFAS)
