According to an update from Lithuania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the 1999 tax treaty with Russia will terminate (expire) with effect from 1 January 2026. As previously reported, Lithuania published Law No. XIV-2991 for the termination of the treaty on 10 October 2024. Lithuania's termination of the treaty follows Russia's suspension of several provisions of the treaty in August 2023.
