According to an update from the Parliament of Uruguay, the Senate passed the draft law for the approval of the pending social security agreement with Australia on 10 June 2026. The agreement, signed 26 August 2025, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
