Uruguay to Introduce Pillar 2 Global Minimum Tax

According to recent reports, Uruguay's undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Martín Vallcorba, has indicated that the government intends to introduce provisions for the Pillar 2 global minimum tax as part of the country's upcoming budget bill. The implementation of the global minimum tax provision is expected to increase government revenue by approximately USD 350 million. Details of Uruguay's implementation of the global minimum tax will be published once available.
