The Vietnam government has submitted a tax relief package in the National Assembly that is meant to support growth and recovery from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Measures of the package include:
- Reduction in the VAT rate from 10% to 8%;
- 50% reduction in the environmental protection tax;
- 30% reduction in land use fees; and
- 50% reduction in registration fees for cars assembled in Vietnam.
