On 3 November 2015, Washington DC's council decided to remove the recently adopted tax haven blacklist. The blacklist, which includes 39 jurisdictions, had been adopted as part of the Fiscal Year 2016 Budget Support Act of 2015 ({News-2015-09-02/A/2- previous coverage}).
