On 15 January 2020, the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) published a notice on the reduction of the VAT rate on standard rated goods from 15% to 14.5% with effect from 1 January 2020. This includes the application of the reduced standard rate on imported goods if liable to VAT under the general regulations.
